MCBW 2020 ends prematurely

Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW) 2020 ends prematurely: Yesterday evening, the German Chancellor made a public call to cancel smaller events with less than 1,000 participants, thereby minimizing social contacts as a whole. As of today, the Bavarian authorities still tolerate events with up to 500 participants. Nonetheless, the MCBW team has asked the program partners to postpone or cancel their remaining MCBW events at short notice. The next MCWB will take place from 6 to 14 March 2021.
MCBW START UP – Innovation and Design!

What will innovation and design look like in 2020? What topics are trending? How are new technologies and design connected? The MCBW START UP exhibition at Munich Airport is offering a foretaste of Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW), the largest design event in Germany. From February 6 through April 20, 2020, selected design start-ups will showcase their design projects covering everything from sustainability to innovative applications.
Smart Living Today and in the Future – now on at Munich Airport

We want our homes to be connected efficiently and at the same time we want to preserve them as spaces in which we feel comfortable and our privacy is protected. This is why we needs all-encompassing ideas, smart ways to communicate, and innovative approaches to design. Design is the element in this process that connects intelligent technologies to users. The Smart Living exhibition organized by bayern design and Munich Airport addresses topics relevant to modern society. The exhibition will run until January 31, 2020 at Terminal 2, Level 04, Check-In Area South at Munich Airport.
Discoverers at Munich Airport

Higher, faster, farther – the ever-increasing number of ways to participate in physical activities has resulted in a shift in the definition of sports. Sports equipment designed to be the interface between people and technology is paramount and defines the space for interaction and perception. bayern design, the center of design competence in Bavaria, has dedicated Discoverers, the fourth component of the exhibition series Bayern gestaltet / Bavaria designs, to sports. The objectives are to introduce innovative materials and wearables and to illustrate the amalgamation of sports and gaming in nine forward-looking projects co-created by companies in Bavaria. Discoverers will be open to the public from September 30 through November 21, 2019.
Premium Environmentally Friendly Packaging at FachPack 2019

Sustainability and environmental protection play an ever-increasing role in the packaging industry. In cooperation with NürnbergMesse, bayern design will present a special exhibition Premium Environmentally Friendly Packaging from September 24 to 26, 2019. To complement the special exhibition, bayern design has asked industry experts to give brief presentations at PackBox on premium environmentally friendly packaging on September 25, 2019.
Inauguration of the Well Connected exhibition at Munich Airport

Centering on these aspects of technology, an exhibition titled Well Connected has been organized by bayern design, Bavaria’s center for design competence, to illustrate how smart objects can enrich our lives over the long term.

Simply Move – bayern design hosts exhibition at Munich Airport

Self-driving vehicles, ecologically responsible drive units, connected mobility, the elimination of physical boundaries and more – a total of nine fascinating visions of the future will be presented at the Simply Move. Bavaria designs – Mobility of the Future exhibition hosted by bayern design in cooperation with Munich Airport. The projects showcased by companies and research institutions in Bavaria embody the current state of science, economy and design in the field of future mobility and form the opening of a five-part series titled Bavaria designs.
