Lower Bavaria (Niederbayern) is the name of the region located between the city of Landshut and the Bayerischer Wald (Bavarian Forest) up to the border with the Czech Republic. Good design has a century-old tradition in Lower Bavaria, especially with the gaffer industry in the Bayerischer Wald; the range of products goes from known series - by the company Schott in Zwiesel, for example - to small, exclusive series, such as that created by Theresienthal. Lower Bavaria is also home to numerous other industries. Please contact the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Industrie- und Handelskammer, IHK) or the Chamber of Crafts (Handwerkskammer), if you have general questions relating to the promotion of the economy. Most of your questions relating to design will be answered on this website; should you need more information, please write an e-mail to bayern design by clicking
